	I started going to Dr Meenakshi after my 2 year old daughter had several ear infections. Almost every cold used to turn into an ear infection for my daughter. But after starting with Dr Meenakshi's treatment for the past one year, the frequency of ear infections reduced considerably. Dr Meenakshi also helped me in treating my allergies. I had to use a nasal spray everyday for reducing the allergy symptoms. But the homeopathy medicine helped me a lot and now I don't use the spray at all. 	I have been taking my children (son CV, 10 and daughter SV, 5) to Dr. Meenakshi for the last 6 months). I did not know much about homeopathy nor did I believe in alternative medicine. However, my children had been almost continuously sick for more than a year with respiratory problems and I was ready to try something else other than allopathy. My daughter had severe asthma which would get triggered by colds. She had a major asthma attack at least once a month and would miss school for a week when she was recovering. Allopathic doctors asked us to put her on ventolin/albuterol regimen - but this did not give her much relief. Using both those inhalers is prone to error and you can never figure out whether the child has received the proper dosage. Also steroids on a regular basis at the age of 5 did not seem right to me. Since going to Dr. Bhargava, the frequency of the asthma attacks has dropped dramatically and she's improving well. My son had a constant stuffed nose/allergy induced asthma cough. Here too I see a big improvement. The allopathic doctors basically said he couldn't be helped and had to grow out of it himself. My insurance does not cover visits to Dr. Bhargava, but this is one of the few times that I feel it is money well spent. She follows through with the medication and adjusts doses as necessary. 	Our 6-year old son was having a consistent early-morning cough from Feb 2003. He would be fine during the rest of the day. When we consulted the doctor in Aug 2003, he was diagnosed with asthma due to allergies. 	I began to see Dr. Bhargava for chronic cramps and bloating after meals, and for eczema. After some 10 years of symptoms I was no longer eating milk products or meat, but to no avail. 	Arthritis: Inflamation in the joints in my hand and feet. The rheumatalogist recommended Enbrel, but that required a commitment for life. Also, it was considered very strong and the side effects were not quite clear. Hence, I was reluctant to begin any treatment with the rheumatologist. My treatment included heavy-duty Ibuprofen daily. I also tried changing my diet along with taking enzymes and antioxidants. The results were fantastic, but if I did not stick with the diet or take the enzymes or antioxidants, my pain returned immediately. 	It is my privilege to write this. I visited Dr. Meenaxi for two medical conditions: Asthma and tingling and numbness all over body 24 hours a day. The second condition was urgent for me because I was going to school for MSW, and I had to drop out of my MSW Internship classes. MEDICAL CONDITION: I have medical insurance with Kaiser. I saw my physician; they took blood tests, MRI, CAT Scan, and neurologist and even a psychologist. (Normally we have a misunderstanding regarding a psychologist or psychiatrist because of the stigma attached to it. But I was a student and was learning health/mental health). So, I saw a psychologist who diagnosed me with anxiety and was willing to prescribe medication which I declined. And then came across Dr. Meenaxi’s name by chance. CONSULTION: Dr. Meenaxi personally my phone called and set up the appointment. The initial consultation took close to 95 minutes. Homeopathic consultation is radically different from the traditional Western model. Dr. Meenaxi covered bio-psycho-social aspects of me as a person-in-environment. She gave me homeopathic medicine for tingling and numbness, and suggested I take the herb Pipali with milk. RESULTS: Tingling and numbness were significantly reduced in less than one week. If I have to give a percentile for this improvement, I must say it was more than 80-85 percent improvement. In the second week tingling and numbness was AND IS COMPLETELY GONE. I saw my physician at Kaiser and informed of my progress. The physician happily surprised. FOLLOW UP FOR ASTHMA: Dr. Meenaxi followed up on my asthma. I have been admitted to Kaiser for asthma, and had to rush to Emergency rooms 4 times before I saw Dr. Meenaxi. I was prescribed Inhalers: Qvar 80 four puffs a day, plus Albuterol 2 puffs every two hours for the first two weeks. Dr. Meenaxi always said that I must not discard any allopathic medicines but that my condition would improve in such a way that I would not need as many dosages of inhalers like Qvar and Albuterol. RESULTS: My conditions did improved. I was able to breathe easily, and consequently reduce the dosages of Qvar to two puffs a day- one in the morning and one in the evening. I was able to skip albuterol inhalation for several hours, and reduced it to only when needed, may be once a day, or twice a week. Over several weeks I was able to wean away from Qvar completely for over two-three months. I must say that even my physician was impressed that I can skip steroid based Qvar. I am not completely cured. I still have to keep Albuterol with me. I use Qvar may be once or twice a week one puff or maximum two puffs in a day. On a personal level I can and must say with all objectivity (and little bit of subjectivity) that Dr. Meenaxi is superb human being in the garb of a professional. She never rushed me out of the clinic (which is to say that unlike the traditional doctors who are allotted only 20 minutes per patient) she took all the time to fully assess me as a person and interacted with respect. She is culturally competent and exhibited a genuine care and concern. I felt in her presence an aura of peacefulness and calm.
